Eye Catcher wins Pavo Cup with a 10 from Eva Möller

Today, guest rider Eva Möller of Germany awarded a 10 to one of the six horses she evaluated under saddle in the scope of the Pavo Cup competition. The recipient of the coveted score was the KWPN stallion Eye Catcher (Vivaldi out of Ostrona elite pref prest by T.C.N. Partout, b/rp: G. Snoeks of Oss, co-rp: J.M. van Uytert of Heerewaarden and Titan Wilaras of Riel) under Kirsten Brouwer, who won the bronze last week at the FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden. Eye Catcher’s score was more than enough to keep his advantage after the first final round and subsequently win the championship for five-year-olds. “I really liked this one,” said Eva after her ride.

The KWPN stallion El Capone (UB 40 out of Vamora elite by OO Seven, b/rp: de Dalhoeve Horse Center of Wamel), ridden by Marieke van der Putten, finished in second place. Eva gave the stallion a 9.5 and complimented Marieke on his training.

Third place was for another KWPN stallion: Estoril (Zhivago out of Unette II keur pref by Gribaldi, breeder: R. Franssen of Boven-Leeuwen, rp: J.M. van Uytert of Heerewaarden). “A stallion that thinks with you,” asserted Eva, who awarded the Zhivago son a 9.0.
